Forget weaving and stitching clothes. A new material could be sprayed directly onto your body and have you ready to go out in minutes. Particle engineer Paul Luckham and fashion designer Manel Torres from Imperial College London combined cotton fibres, polymers and a solvent to form a liquid that becomes a fabric when sprayed. The material can be built up in layers to create a garment of your desired thickness and can also be washed and worn again like conventional fabrics....read more

The technology – radio wave energised water – massively increases the output of vegetables and fruits by up to 30 per cent. Not only are the plants much bigger but they are largely disease-resistant, meaning huge savings in expensive fertilisers and harmful pesticides. Extensively tested in Ireland and several other countries, the inexpensive water treatment technology is now being rolled out across the world. The technology makes GM obsolete and also addresses the whole global warming fear that there is too much carbon dioxide in the air, by simply converting excess CO2 into edible plant mass....read more

Ocean Acidification Amplifies Global Warming. Scientists have long been aware of the fact that ocean acidification negatively affects marine wildlife. However, it took them quite a while to figure out that said phenomenon also amplifies global warming. Researchers writing in yesterday's issue of the journal Nature Climate Change explain that, according to their investigation......read more
Raspberries Enhance Male Fertility. US scientists now claim that men who are looking to become fathers but have fertility issues might up their chances to have children should they pick up the habit of eating raspberries. Apparently, these fruits are highly rich in vitamin C and magnesium, sources say. Vitamin C has previously been proven to both make male gametes less susceptible to damage, and up their count. In fact, investigations have revealed that men over the age of 44 who eat loa......read more
Black Tea Staves Off Tooth Decay. People who drink at least three cups of black tea per day are less likely to suffer from tooth decay, researchers writing in the British Nutrition Foundation's Nutrition Bulletin argue. Interestingly enough, this beverage continues to fight back tooth decay regardless of whether or not the people who consume it add some sugar in it. Experiments have shown that several chemical compounds found in black tea are highly effective in terms of keeping two types of b......read more

The ocean is filled with mysteries, and one of them has washed up on a beach in Spain. An unidentified creature discovered on the coast near Villaricos has experts scratching their heads — and holding their noses. The 13-foot carcass, discovered by a woman with its head detached, is likely a fish, experts said. However, it wasn't immediately clear which kind. Theories ranged from a type of shark to a giant oarfish.

Bashar - Happiness is a Decision
Be happy because that is what you want to be. You don't need another reason. And when you do choose to be happy, anything outside of you has no other choice but to give you happy reflections. In a sense, life is a mirror. When you smile, it smiles back. The universal reflecting mirror does not have a mind of its own. It is only nothing. Nothing at all. It is only a reflection of what you put there. That's what makes it effortless. Just know that when you are happy, nothing else can happen, but happy reflections.Subscribe
Street View Lets You Explore the TARDIS Hiding in Plain Site in London
Google Maps is proving that it's not just YouTube that can do Easter Eggs. Hidden in plain sight in the streets of London is a conspicuous-looking blue box. A bit too conspicuous for Dr. Who fans. But, granted, a police box, even an ancient one like this, isn't an uncommon sight, even today, in London. Curious visitors will soon find out though that it's no plain police box, it is, in fact, the TARDIS, gloriously depicted in 360-degree panoramic photos.

Researchers Slow Light to Less than One Billionth of Its Top Speed
Scientists from France and China claim to have successfully slowed light to less than one billionth of its top speed. For those unaware, light travels at about 300,000 kilometers per second in a vacuum, so there is little denying these brainiacs' achievement is nothing if not impressive.
AquaTop Turns Your Bathtub Into an Interactive Touch Device
Researchers at Tokyo's University of Electro-Communications have harnessed Kinect sensors and projectors to turn tubs into touchscreen displaysCalled Aquatop, the combination allows people to use more interactive gestures than the usual tapping and swiping methods typical of touchscreen devices. With the Kinect sensor, users can scoop, drop, dunk and pull media.
Super-fast quantum computers? Scientists find asymmetry in topological insulators
New research shows that a class of materials being eyed for the next generation of computers behaves asymmetrically at the sub-atomic level. This research is a key step toward understanding the topological insulators that may have the potential to be the building blocks of a super-fast quantum computer that could run on almost no electricity.
